Instant Coffee or Brewed Coffee?

What is your preference?

I use Organic instant  coffee now.  I put it into warmed up unsweetened Almond milk. I use to use a coffee maker and brew my coffee, but, it seemed like a hassel to me after  all the years I brewed it.  And I alway was throwing away what I did not use up.

Re: Instant Coffee or Brewed Coffee?

For years I've used Folger's instant.  Then I decided to buy myself a Black & Decker Brew & Go personal coffee maker.  While it makes decent coffee and is easy to maintain, when it breaks, I will not buy another.  I am perfectly happy with instant.

Re: Instant Coffee or Brewed Coffee?

I am a tea drinker but every once in a blue moon I try and make one of those latte drinks in my Vitamix and I use instant for that.

I did have a bad International Delights habit for a couple months back in the day but I'm not sure that really counts as coffee and, sadly, I'm now off the sugar.   Smiley Sad

I make mine in a coffee press, using whole organic beans that I grind before each use. It makes the most delicious coffee I've ever tasted (guests think so, too!). Smiley Happy

Re: Instant Coffee or Brewed Coffee?

No instant for me. I don’t drink coffee every day, but DH does. We have a Keurig and just love it. We also used to waste a lot of coffee with a traditional coffee maker.

We also use one of our French presses occasionally. It makes a different coffee. Stronger and more robust.

I also love cold brewed coffee. I had been buying the cold brew concentrat from TJ’s until I found a cold brewer at Costco. You just put in your own coarse grind beans into the center mesh part, fill with water and put in fridge for 24 hours. It came with a separate carafe to pour the brew into. I always mix my coffee, hot or cold, with almond milk. I only like TJ’s.

We drink mostly tea...Twinings English Breakfast...using our Keurig machine.

But occasionally I like a cup of coffee and the Green Mountain Breakfast Blend in the Keurig is really, really good.

Jmo here but I don’t think instant coffee tastes anything like brewed coffee; that being said, I haven’t had instant coffee in years so maybe it’s better now,  I dont know, just going by past experience..

If you love the flavor of coffee, you drink a quality brand, either whole beans or ground, and drink it black, no sugar.

[ Edited ]

I brew coffee every morning.  I use a Mr. Coffee type drip thing.  The leftover coffee I drink cold later in the day with a little ice and creamer.

I like coffee and will drink it as I like.  Drinking it black is certainly not the only way.

Instant coffee tastes awful to me.

Re: Instant Coffee or Brewed Coffee?

General Foods International French Vanilla every morning with some of my supplements, that's instant. Don't remember ever having other instants, tho my parents used it when I was young. GFI had a mint flavor years ago that I loved. If they ever drop the French Vanilla, I'm done with them.

If I want more during the day, Folger's in my 4-cup Mr Coffee that was given to me, which is 2 mugs-full. Just the right amount.  Still using up some that was in fhe freezer for years, then I'd like to try a free-trade brand.
