I rely solely on Instacart & Amazon Fresh.
I used to use Uber to get to the store and back but the cost is too high now.
Instacart went public with their stocks a couple months ago and things are ever changing since.
I have had many experiences with many shoppers.
I have had my Instacart orders delivered to my neighbors 3 doors down.
I had to walk the neighborhood to find them.
I am pleased with how Instacart customer service has treated me.
I always am on the app when my shopper is shopping.
I too, message them and thank them before they start.
I always chose “refund this item” instead of substitutions.
That has eliminated a lot of issues. I stick to the closest store near me . I do this because most times my items are not kept cold while waiting for them to be delivered.
I never have chose Aldi to order from. I would be very upset if I received a email like you did.

I would use Walmart delivery but they use Door Dash drivers now and that was a disaster.
I would use Shipt, but they do not have many store options.
I am thankful for Instacart but the truth is , I never know how each order will turn out.

@AngelPuppy1are you aware that people who shop your orders (shoppers) and customers can be suddenly locked out of their own accounts?  Many, many people who work for the platform complain about it.

 

They say it's for security reasons.  Do a google search about how Instacart locks the shopper/drivers out of their accounts.  I have been locked when trying to place orders twice since I've begun shopping with them.  I'm sure it had something to do with my browser settings at the time.  I think I fixed that and hopefully, it won't happen again.  I asked for credit to my membership and they said they won't be doing that.  Their customer service can be rude too.

 

In addition, since I've been using Instacart, I have never had the same shopper twice.  This is "gig" work for them.

Yes, it's like the movie - Forrest Gump --- you never know what you're going to get!

 

I just got an order and it was great.  The order was timely, the shopper was very friendly and all the items were good.  So --- I'm just trying to go with the flow!  No -- the e-mail was not nice to receive and unwarranted, but I had no control over it.

No, I never heard of that.  I have had difficulties on occasion getting through to place orders but just assumed they were working on their site.  I have had the same shoppers a few times, but not many.
