There are about 45 of them... too many to post, but some are very thought provoking.

Yesterday was supposedly "Give a compliment to someone day", but really, shouldn't that be every day? If someone looks nice, or does something nice, wouldn't you tell them so? It seems like negativity and nastiness is far too prevalent these days, people are in attack mode, or at least in defense mode. I have found that when you compliment someone, or speak kindly to them, it changes their demeanor. I was behind a lady the other day waiting in line at the pharmacy to pick up some meds for my dad. She was impatient and clearly in an irritable mood, making big sighs and looking around... it was a busy time, it's flu season... she had on a pretty scarf so I complimented her on it. She looked at me then thanked me, then she made a comment about the cold temps, and I responded with why there were so many people here needing medicine. We had a short conversation, and it passed the time to get her mind off being frustrated waiting in line. Pretty soon, it was her turn to be served. We told each other to have a nice day. I could have stood in line behind her and said nothing, listening to her sigh and huff and be impatient...she just needed a change in focus. Be nice to someone today.

Great post Jules. Another thing I like to do, when I have had especially good service at the store is ask to see the manager. I have had to wait a while but I then tell the manager what an excellent employee this person is. Really makes their day. They get so many complaints.

Hi Scottie I think that is awesome when you take the time to tell a manager about great service, they hear so much negative, it's good when people tell them things are going well. Anytime someone is unhappy with service they complain to the manager, yet when things are going good nobody takes the time to compliment them. Of course, I understand the mindset that things should go smoothly so why compliment someone on something that should be status quo, but everyone likes to hear they are doing a good job. You're an awesome and thoughtful person!

I bet your shots are much more fun than flu shots! Do I smell tequila? We need to come up with a Broncos cocktail, Mom help me out. Where is Croemer? She knows how to pour a good drink. Scottie loves the blue stuff so we have that part covered....
