I haven't heard anything about this but I'd have no problem with a snake on a plane or anywhere, for that matter. I love snakes. They are amazing and interesting creatures. My worry on a plane is terrorists or crashing. Snakes are the least of my problems, lol.

I saw that on the news last night.  The thing was not only a snake, but a poisonous one at that.  This gal would have lost what's left of my mind.  I'm not bothered by much, but snakes scare the bejeebers out of me.  Boo hisssssssssssssssssssssss . . .

Oh double eeek! I didn't read that it was also poisonous!

I used to have a sweet green, pet snake when I was in 4th grade so I don't think they are all creepy.

Did anyone read today aobut the pet duck Daniel who is a sweet therapy duck for a young woman with ptsd and traveled on the plane with her?! So sweet. He "Hugs" her and "kisses" her and puts his feet on her when she is about to have a panic attack.

I used to have a family of wild ducks that became my friends, so they can be very sweet.

LOL!!! I hate snakes but I don't fly. I would have been getting as far away as possible. I guess if it was 1 snake that's one thing but if it was like the movie Snakes on a Plane No Thanks.

Re: In the news... a snake on a plane ...

My son started collecting "snakes" before he started school.  While visiting my parents we heard a scream from the upstairs bathroom.   My mother had not turned on the light and she had unknowingly put her hand on my son's "baby snakes" that he had left on the toilet tank earlier.   It was a wad of worms.    From there he advanced to any snakes he could catch outside.  In time he had his first red tail boa.   The first time I had to boa sit was a learning experience because it was all new to me.   I had to daily take him outside to exercise in the tree.  By the time he went home days later I was a good sitter.   Thank goodness he married a lady willing to accept his"kids".   At 1 time they had 5 at a time as people no longer wanted theirs.  Like any critter cute little boas grow into big snakes.  It took time but he located a person who had a business of taking different snakes to schools, etc to teach children about them.  The gentleman took 3 each different and now there are 2 at home.    Snakes need daily care and attention although they can go weeks without eating.  Like any critter they need responsible owners willing to give them time and proper care.   Once people are around them watching from across the room they slowly lose their fear of snakes and allow their children to touch and learn.  Animals are not toys and they have to be respected and admired nd understood for the natural traits they were born with.
