I think the answer is that when you have a credit freeze, it only means nobody can open a credit account in your name, not that nobody can check on your credit identity or credit score. When you open something like a mysocialsecurity account, they are just trying to identify you, not lend you money.

 @Suziepeach  Yes I know that . That's why I'm so baffled that DH & myself & my friend for that matter were able to set up an account. We all checked & are freezes are still in effect.🤷‍♀️

@NicksmomESQ glad you all were able to open accounts.. could be SS looks at different reasons for accounts frozen... only guessing here, 😆
