Imma gonna save on batteries

I got VPH TSV pumpkins in orange. still SWOONING. they are so stunning. the cutwork is amazing. so, what's the problem?

the candle lights the center but far less on the sides. OK, so I removed the candle to get rid of the white tube in the middle of the pumpkin. the candle was easy to remove, but the white casing remains. whaaaaa.

I am not a fan of fairy lights usually, but I think for this design they would allow for broader even lighting. since they don't make horizontal candles, LOL. I wish Val would leave some pieces without candles. we have a ton of our own options and it would reduce cost of the product.

I am over the moon with these unlit and will use them that way. I just wish that white tube wasn't interrupting the stunning open cut work. I will use mine without lights and still love them as they are just amazing.

light them or not. suit yourself. hope you enjoy whichever way you use them.

I don't use FB so I have no way to get this suggestion to Valerie. hope someone might kindly copy this to her team.

meanwhile, I will save on batteries and still swoon!

I like when they show the photos from the bottom of items like these, then I can see if the bottom can be removed or if the battery pack is attached. I don't buy anything if the battery and candle cant' be removed.  I prefer using my own flameless candles; they are usually by far superior to the ones that come with the product.

yes, tha would be great. I do the same. problem is in this case, the white tube that holds the candle is not removable and IMO distracts from the look.

How much do you pay for batteries?

That's great if it works for you but that white tube is clearly visible and to me, that doesn't look good.  If I didn't want to pay for batteries, I wouldn't buy ornaments that require batteries.  I recharge batteries.  I limit the hours I have ornaments "on".  Also I decorate seasonally.  Halloween and Fall go up end of September.  Christmas goes up Thanksgiving weekend.  I stock up on batteries at Amazon Basics batteries.

Yes indeed!  Also I sometimes use the small flickering LED tea lights that Amazon sells.

Re: Imma gonna save on batteries

@knittykitty I have an older version of this pumpkin by Valerie.  My "fixed" candle stopped working after a couple of seasons so DH was able to remove it with a small screwdriver from underneath.

Then all I did was use fairy lights instead.  But it's funny you said you are using it unlit this time around.  I just told DH the same thing yesterday about mine.  It's on the mantle and with all the other flameless candles I have on, it doesn't really need to be lit.

Yes I am already putting out my fall decor.  Been working hard doing fall cleaning and it's a good feeling to be ahead of the game!
