Good for Luna!! She was meant to live and survive.
I left a Spiritual Center due to a Pastor who told the group that there was no such thing as HOPE. Huh?
Well, that dog fought for it's life by swiming somewhere because it had hope and it had hope because it had life. Without life, there is no hope. The lesson is there for all.

It sickens me to think that dog was placed with with his stupid owner. And the stupid owner will probably take him back out on the fishing boat. Again, no place for a dog.
I didn't open the link, but why didn't the stupid owner jump in the water and try to retreive the dog? Did he notice right away the dog was missing or just happen to notice?
That poor dog.
Sure, she lived, but not because of her owner. Probably jumped over board to get away from him.

Lucky Charm, your rants have been well noted. If you want to vent then start a thread so that others can participate if they wish. If your goal is to diminish the good feelings of other posters on this thread then you have my pity.
If you really cared about the specifics of the story instead of asking questions here you would either open the link or do a search. The story has been on national news along with video of Luna.

Apparently that so called "pastor" was never diagnosed with cancer or some other life threatening disease. There is always HOPE. I Corinthians 13:13 tells us: "Now these three remain: Faith, Hope and Love. The greatest of these is Love."
I'm so happy that Luna was found ... alive and well. She is a beautiful dog who exhibited a remarkable amount of hope. She never gave up. I love her story.

A dog who fell off a fishing boat in the Pacific Ocean and had been "presumed dead" more than a month ago has now been found alive by Navy officials on an island 80 miles off the coast of San Diego, California.
The 1-year-old German Shepherd, named Luna, was first reported missing the morning of Feb. 10 about 2 miles off of San Clemente Island by her owner -- Nick Hayworth, a fisherman -- according to Sandy DeMunnik, public affairs officer for the US Navy's Naval Base Coronado.
"He told us Luna was a very powerful swimmer and that he was 90 percent sure she'd head for shore," DeMunnik said. "So our staff searched the island, but with no luck. He stayed in the area for two more days to look for her, and after a week, we considered her lost at sea and presumed dead."
But this past Tuesday morning, the dog showed up to greet Navy staff arriving on the island for work.
"They saw Luna just sitting on the side of the road wagging her tail," she said. "Keep in mind, there are no domesticated animals on the island, so it was a stunning sight."
