Seriously? Is this for real? Why would you try to find out if someone is ok or not if they go missing from here? It's not really our business.

Some just move on. There's not really much going on here like there once was.

Don’t quite understand this thread. There’s nothing wrong or creepy about it when you know that a poster is ill and that one or more people on the forum have friendships and contact information that go beyond posting here.

Yes, this poster you are referring to has for many years chosen to journal here, on a shopping channel community forum, very detailed and personal information about herself, neighbours, family member(s).  Of course others care... whether it is this poster or any number of all the individuals who are going through horrible circumstances at any moment.  But just because this poster has chosen to put all kinds of personal circumstances on in the internet does not mean neighbours, acquaintances, family wish to be contacted by strangers on the internet.  It is human nature to be concerned for others.  But proper perspective is also important.  As is the privacy of others who have nothing to do with this shopping channel forum.  Think good thoughts, say a prayer but also put yourself in the position of others who are entitled to privacy.

That never entered my mind that anyone would.  Haven't been here long enough for anyone to notice or care.

The answer is "no."  If I disappeared from QVC...maybe, kidnapped...no one would want to...HA...or died, I have family members who keep an eye on me.

Certainly would not want anyone checking up on me.  I enjoy my friendships here but would not expect or want personal contact with posters.  This is a great place to share ideas, get different views on issues, discuss technical electronics, books, etc but online is where I would want to keep it.  Love my QVC buddies just the way they are.  LM

I'm going to assume no one is an island posting here and they have a personal life and contacts. No need to intrude.

I slipped off for a couple of years when there was a lot of snipping and griping going on. I popped back in one day and liked the changes I saw. Husband knows I write on this forum. He has a city sports forum he participates in. It's all extra curricular but I do learn from y'all.

• I am pretty sure who you are talking about.She is terminally ill.I have known her over fifteen years.She lives alone and has one sister in  another state.Of course I was worried as many other posters are.
