If you never accepted their request to be friends why would you care if they ever notice you unfriended them.

To answer your question, unless they go looking at their friends list they will not know you deleted them.

They only way they would find out is if they are using Social Fixer on FB to weed out krap. That will notify them if someone is no longer on the friends list.

There is absolutely no way for them to be on your Friends list without you having added them. 100% no way. You may not remember doing it or didn't realize you clicked on Add Friend, but it was done nonetheless.

posts from my cousins, nieces, BIL or my aunt and once from an old friend when her parents passed. I have also posted requests to Gary Groben QVC. I have looked at some posts but didn't post.
I don't remember following anyone.

@Mindy D if you want to unfollow someone, look at the Post and you will see three dots on the right of the Post. Click on the three dots and you will see a list of things like snooze, unfollow and so on. Click on "unfollow" and that will do it.

I unfollow a lot of friends if they use a curse word or something of that nature and they would never know.
