Re: If you could live anywhere, where would you live? And where would your 2nd home be?!

I like where I am. Good location for everything and only 15 minutes to Sanibel Island beaches. If we had the resources, a summer home on Lake Placid NY would be nice.

I live in Italy part of the year but not this year. Right now probably Tonga which has no Covid-19. Since I travel around Europe a great deal when in Italy, I find it hard to pick one place. I love all European capitals & they all have their charm. Outside of Italy, I’d select Vienna, Prague or Kyoto but I do love Copenhagen, Cape Town, London, Paris & Barcelona too

We couldn't have picked a better spot to live then right where we are, Maine coast.  Though we love traveling, we love coming back home. No place is better. 4 seasons,(love our Winters) beautiful beaches, lighthouses, great food.  Great outdoor activites, entertainment.  Now that we are retired we don't have any plans to leave the area. No moving South for us.

Oh, a 2nd home would be in the White Mountains in NH.

Good choices. I loved Portland ME and the White Mountains in NH when I visited there.

Years ago I took my aunt on a trip to Maui and Honolulu. Hawaii is so boring and SLOW-moving. I was glad to return to southern Calif.

Well it sure would not be Minneapolis or Portland. I m watching CNN and all their talking about is Coronovirus, not all the destruction of cities in USA.

Wth, is wrong with people? Now I know why all you Ladies are so scared!

A nice, safe place.

No floods, hurricaines, tornadoes, landslides, earthquakes, wild fires, extreme heat and cold, etc., etc., etc.

Anyway, wishing all of us safety, no matter where we live or plan to live in the future.

I would love to live back home again in So.California where I was born and raised. And have a home near Huntington Beach. That would be enough for me Woman Happy

For weather, paradise is Southern California.  I lived there nearly 10 years and I've never gotten over it.  So much sunshine! I miss it.  Only two places in the entire world has this weather.  The bottom strip of land in Australia has the identical weather.
