Would it be savory or sweet? I like Calif rolls.
This is a hard one for me because I have type 2 diabetes, and everything's filled with carbs

What is that, Cherry? Do you mean sushi? That's the only Calif roll I know of.

Yes< I get them made with brown rice. There is a small shop inside Krogers that have Japanese people making them. they are a great seller and very good
What I would actually like is a piece of devils food cake..lol

For the same reasons you stated, Cherry, my normal snack is a slice of jack cheese and some nuts.
Don't California rolls have white rice in them?
I'd prefer a sweet snack over savory though.

Oh, well, I don't usually have them on hand, lol, but DD and I made some for a sushi dinner not long ago.
You could fill them with more fake crab and cucumber so that the amount of rice would be almost negligible. You could also sub brown rice, which would be better for you.
I usually have half an apple sliced in the late afternoon, sometimes with a Fiber One bar which is 90 calories.

depends- if I am having tea, I need a carbohydrate or else I get the "pukies", so it's a granola bar, 100 calorie pack of popcorn, or something with grains.
If I am just having that after school snack, it's cut up veggies, cheese, a piece of fruit, or nuts.

My regular quick snack bits tend to be a good (no chocolates added) trail mix or some plantain chips. I also always keep a bag of baby carrots and stalks of celery in the fridge.
But there are times I get a craving for a good salami/cream cheese wrap or roll. Sort of the opposite of a baby carrot - lol - but sometimes only salami & cream cheese will do in a jaw-salivating emergency.
