The mom could have visited the zoo well before her baby arrived. Not something that people do on a daily/weekly/monthly basis, anyway.

Baby is 'way too young' to appreciate it, anyway. Maybe in a few years or so.

I don't understand people. I can't imagine taking a baby to a zoo, why would anyone do that?

That baby looks a lot older than 9 weeks, maybe 9 months.

Well, the mother was there with the baby and her 2 older children.

I live about 10 miles from that park and it's really incredible. You really are able to get up close and personal with a lot of the animals. The older children were holding and playing with the lemurs.

Now, would I have freaked out if I looked up and saw a lemur on my baby's head? Probably, but, I don't think the baby would have continued to sleep peacefully if it were hurting her.

Oh, o.k. There were two older siblings there, too. That does make a difference. I originally thought: "Gee, that mom must be bored at home, taking a very young baby to a zoo......"

when I was a docent at our zoo, I was afforded a few perks at other zoos world wide (we all were) in Dublin I was given a backstage there---I was lucky to go in the ring tail lemur pen --they were so funny--they climbed all over me---I couldn't stop laughing-----I would NEVER let my little baby be in such close contact with a wild animal though

No, I agree. But it's amazing the baby didn't wake up!
