The mind numbing thing applies to both the programming and, to some extent, the current boards... As for watching, well of course it's a choice. I've chosen not to much anymore because of exactly what the OP references. I think the point is, some of us who used to enjoy watching would like to be able to enjoy watching again, and so are expressing opinions about why we're not enjoying it these days. Meanwhile, on the boards, while unevenly applied, any dissention, discussion or commentary that's marginal or otherwise not fit for consumption by the lollipop guild seems to vaporize pretty quickly. All that said, it is what it is. Our choice, it seems, it to take it or leave it.
