I loved my steam cleaners.  I had two.  The first one was perfection.  I think it was a Bissel.  The next one was a Shark.  I still have it.  Surprisingly it wasn't as good as the Bissel.  But the robot has bested them both because I don't have to do the cleaning.  If the robot detects something stuck to the hard surface, like in the kitchen, it will go back and work on that area till it's clean.  Technology is grand!

I hope you found it helpful.  Maybe you have other words of wisdom to add.  I'm very happy with mine but new models come out daily with new and beefed up features.  So, naturally I want to upgrade but that would be an expensive habit Smiley Surprised  The latest Q Revo from RoboRock, Q Revo Curve, has a PA of 18,000!  That's up there with the average standard vacuum.  They are, mostly, between 10 and 20,000pa.

Oh my gosh, how has so much time gone by! So very sorry!

I don't have any wisdom whatsoever. I've only had the basic ones but I've wanted to update to at least the ones that empty out the dirt when it docks. But I'd love something like what you have because I'm kind of like you--I love clean floors. We don't wear shoes in the house and I want to feel like whether I'm barefoot or in socks that it's really clean. So I might be looking at the wet floor cleaning as an option, too. I'll be going back at some point and rereading about your experience.  Thank you, my dear!

You're so welcome. There is a lot of information to digest and a lot of YouTube videos to watch. Good luck with your search.

Re: If anyone is thinking about a robot vacuum for Christmas

Well that's not quite true. The robot maps your house the first time it runs. Now it knows where things are. If you leave items on the floor that aren't normally there then it could bump into them. Some of them won't because of the radar technology. You wouldn't vacuum your house with a traditional vacuum without picking up first or at least I wouldn't. With just my husband and me, there is normally nothing to pick up except some dog toys and maybe shoes. But the cartoon is cute 😉

I bought the best Roomba on the market years back and returned it. Hated it. I just don't understand the appeal.

@Imaoldhippie

I bought it on Amazon. This is the one I have

Roborock Qrevo Pro.  it was $1,000 but there was a $200 coupon. Now it's $1,000 with a $250 coupon. It seems like they crank out a new model every week.

@monicakm ..........Thanks for taking the time to answer my question.  I was looking on Amazon yesterday and I saw  one you pictured here.  I dont need one with a mop I have a small area and have a Swiffer spray mop.  I did find a robo vac that I like and saved it for later.  I will get it soon.

Thanks again.
