Sorry.  I made a typo.  Let's all check our typos and English syntax.  I will correct mine.

I've choked up for every medal award I've watched so I imagine I would melt if I were the recipient.

@Nonametoday  It was obvious to me it was merely a typo.

I would get very emotional listening to the anthem and looking at the flag.
Would be a proud moment after all the work and sacrifices

Stunned, relieved and emotional.  The question is how would you react if you lost by milliseconds.

Re: If You Won A Gold Medal....

When I was in college at the University of Pittsburgh in the early 80's, Roger Kingdom, who was a track star at Pitt at the time, won a gold medal in the high hurdles at the '84 Olympics.  When he returned, I saw him standing in the Quad wearing his gold medal around his neck.  I didn't know him very well, but a friend of mine did.  We walked up to congratulate him and look at the medal.  He was so proud.  It was a wonderful thing to see.  He won a second gold in the same event at the '88 Olympics.

Just to qualify for the Olympics is an honor in itself.  To win any metal, not just gold, I would be over the moon!
