There's plenty of toilet paper in the US – so why are people hoarding it?

Re: If You Need TP It's Coming

This is a reply I got from a truck driver, who is familar with the Proctor and Gamble plant.

"P&G is east of town and south of the Coors plant. I have been to both many times.

Those trucks are not on the plant property, they are lined up on the highway.
That is a large facility and most loads are drop and hook but, there is no way to preload trailers with this demand. "

I keep thinking folks shouldn't be too quick to harshly judge the buyers of huge TP loads.

They could be from a church mission that distributes goods to the needy, or  might work for a homeless shelter. or for a nursing home.

There are lots of possible reasons that some folks are buying unusual amounts of paper goods.

They also could be like the oportunistic guy I read about on the internet who bought 17,000 rolls of toilet paper to resell on Amazon and Ebay at inflated prices to take advantage of the rest of us. Fortunately someone shamed Amazon into putting a stop to his business and Amazon kicked him and some others off their site. I believe Ebay did the same.Smiley Happy

EBay has not stopped price gouging. I went on the site today and saw Kirkland selling from $500 to $5,000. I text my son with the pictures and the price.
