If You Met Your BFF TODAY, Would They Still Be Your BFF?

My son posed this question to me recently, "What do you two have in common, Mom??"

It made me pause.....I replied, "A shared history of over 40 yrs". She has changed so much over the years - as have I - we've actually switched personalities, in a way, from how we were in the beginning.

Honestly, if we had just met, I doubt we'd even be casual acquaintances.

What about you and your best friend?? Still friends because the shared history, or ??

Would you choose them to be your BFF again, if you just met them last week?
