And if money wasn't an issue, you would certainly be welcome.

Building off of MaizeandBlue's thread, IF money were no object, and IF the virus did not exist, where would you live?

For me, it would be Capitola, Ca.

It's near Santa Cruise, Ca.

It's a cute, quaint, picturesque little town right on the Pacific coast.

How about you?

Santa Cruz.  Home of the banana slug.

I lived in Northern California for 25 years and wouldn't move back.  But the boardwalk in Santa Cruz was fun when I was a kid.  So was 6th grade camp.

I went to college further north and we had plenty of banana slugs behind the Redwood Curtain, too. Heart

My main home would stay in New England, always first in my heart.

Of course, a second home in both England and certainly Paris.

Re: If Money Were No Object.....

On the lake in Tahoe (Nevada side) or some other lake close to moutains and forests.  I want a maintenance-free home because the older I get, the less home maintenance I want to do.  Our present house and yard are waaay too big and that makes too much work for me.  I'm tired.   I want a house on a lake with its own dock and a pontoon boat so I can float around on the water all day.  I want a private gardener to take care of my yard -- I want lovely flowers but don't want to do the hard work that involves anymore.

We had plans to do this a few years ago, but family circumstances and responsibilities interrupted.

I'd have homes in Boston or Cambridge and a home in Sante Fe.

I would live for four months of the year at my beach house and for eight months of the year at my mountain house.
