There's no one that could really sue. The stepkids were not close to the victim. They say they are, because they see $$.

The children have filed a civil suit. I'm not sure that whether the kids were close to her or not would effect a judgement in court.

From the little I've read, I don't see why the woman who was jit didn't just turn her wheel ....  and what about the car that did hit her?

Assuming Caitlyn caused the whole thing seems a bit odd ... there were other drivers in that accident .....  or did I miss something?

What I underlined - you're kidding right?  It's the victims fault?

No way she/he is going to jail.  Not one of the "little people" after all.

Tell that to Leona Helmsley.

Tell it to Martha Stewart too.

OP here. Aside from all the legal diatribes-I was just wondering when does a transgender get legally recognized as his/her preferred gender? Do they have to have the final surgery, or what?

There will be no prison, whatever the verdict. There wouldn't be prison time if the person wasn't a celebrity, either. The courts have to abide by certain sentencing rules, and a first offense of this type, under these circumstances, would be dealt with pretty lightly unless gross negligence could be proven - which there just isn't in a chain reaction accident for the people in the middle.

I agree.  Please also remember this is a misdemeanor charge.  People do not get jail time for misdemeanors

@Kim-QVC did my post cause something to be deleted?  If memory serves me I said something like isn't there video from a passing transit bus?  I am positive it was on this thread, as I've checked and can't find that post.

I apologize if I caused an issue.

Women's prison but she isn't going even if she is found guilty.  Which isn't a given, a jury could easily find her not guilty.

They're not going to put Caitlyn Jenner in jail or even take him to court.  I just watched TMZ today and they said it unusual even for it to go this far.

I know the lady who died didn't have any immediate family.  Her late husband had 2 children who are supposedly suing Jenner.  Who knows how much of this is true (it's from TMZ).

It's just sad anyway when someone dies.  Supposedly, Jenner was not on his phone.  He was probably taking large doses of hormones at that time.

Speaking as someone who takes HRT and is almost 70 (gone through menopause) I can tell you hormones will affect you.  I don't know and I know it's not an excuse, just saying.  It's so sad that the lady died.

......hormonal hot flashes causing traffic accidents?   That's the first time I've ever heard that....lol.
