Idea for QVC. How about rewards for long term customers

I have about had it for the offers for NEW CUSTOMERS.  How about long term customers like most of us. Free shipping for us too.  Heck Amazon gives it to me and Prime membership is more than free shipping so the cost takes care of itself.  And Zulily which is owned by the Q has a shoppping cart approach. One shipping charge per day or weekend.  Why not that.

@bonnielu   There are so many stores, restaurants, etc that have rewards programs for repeat customers/long term customers.  I think something would be very much appreciated here.

I know about the free shipping perk for new customers. Are there other perks or promotions  for new customers?

But!    How would that benefit QVC?  All those rewards and discounts are given to generate business.  They are not gifts to loyal customers.  They aren't a display of gratitude.  They are strategically instituted to draw customers into a business.  QVC already has us.  We've been shopping for years or decades and while perks are appreciated; they aren't needed.  They aren't deal breakers.  They won't generate more sales from us.

I understand your point.  But I do think a shopping cart approach would be a good idea.  And I have a feeling with rising costs for everything it would be a nice gesture. So much competition out there.

I had said that I would comment on any post that I happen to see on this subject, so here I am annoying you all again, hahaha.  I have been reading other posts here that show QVC's 3rd quarter financial report.  I am a little bit less angry now about the free shipping for new customers deal while, in my 35 years of shopping here, I've received zero perks for being a long time customer.  They really do need to reel in new customers to get themselves out of a hole.  Since this started, I wasn't going to buy anything ever again.  But then I bought St Claire side dishes for Thanksgiving because my family looks forward to them each holiday, and food has free shipping.  Then bought 2 sweaters on clearance this past free shipping weekend.  There may be an upcoming TSV or two that I may be interested in, not sure yet, and also on free shipping. QVC needs to do what they need to do to stay afloat.

I actually think reward programs to generate business.  example...Ulta.  they have a rewards program. You earn points for each dollar spent.  and after you spend so much you get free shipping.  Also you use thes points to get dollars off your purchase.  I think this encourages you to purchase items.  They also have specials...every once in awhile for certain purchases...3x or 5x points on certain purchases.  I think all of this encourages additional purchases.

I used to purchase at Sephora...now I go to Ulta.  I feel I get much better deals at Ulta.

But that is just me.

Glad someone else started a thread on this.  My threads get deleted and a few posters go off on me.  If they gave them free shipping for a few orders that would be ok, but 3 1/2 months is ridiculous.  That is my opinion and I am entitled to it.

These ideas are really good, if the Q cared about their loyal customers, but they don't.  That's why I shop elsewhere.

@ruthbe Oh my gosh, you are so right. A rewards program works and I realize this especially after my purchase yesterday.

I wanted a specific perfume. It was the same price at every site I went to, Macy's, Sephora, Kohl's, Ulta, not sure if any other sites had it. I ended up purchasing it from Ulta due to their rewards. The item was excluded from any sites promotions (Sephora 10% off, Macy's sale, etc). Ulta was the only one, yes I paid the full price, I received points leading to dollars on future purchases. I also received free shipping.
