Re: Idaho murders. Probable Cause for Arrest Affidavit released. Very detailed.

The first thing I heard this morning is that the probable cause affidavit contains only the evidence needed to arrest and charge for a crime; there apparently is much more  evidence that law enforcement has that will be used for a conviction. They are not releasing it yet. I am so impressed with the work all of the law enforcement agencies who held their tongues as they collected so much data and evidence to make this an iron-clad case.

??? What does ethanol or alcohol have to do with this? Maybe you could explain further?

I doubt the survivor was unable to get to her phone. She had called for Door Dash at 4AM, during the window when the murders were supposed to have taken place. So she had her phone nearby, as most young people usually do, likely in her bedroom.

Who knew you could order Door Dash at 4AM? And, was the food ever delivered? Wouldn't she have stayed up to receive the order, instead of going back to bed and sleeping supposedly until 11AM? Or, was DD even available at that hour? Did she even wake her roommate (if asleep) to tell her what she had heard and seen? They supposedly shared the BR. Then in the AM, she was shocked something evil had taken place. Really?

Things don't make much sense. Maybe it will, as we continue to hear details, but I think most would'nt go to sleep after seeing a malevolent figure wandering through their home, after hearing whimpering and cries from friends.  I'm not blaming this young lady, but something prevented her from being proactive, perhaps substances, or alcohol? Maybe some details are not being offered to protect her. It's a lot to try to comprehend.

Much of this case is confusing. Kohberger's parents are in shades of denial. Guess they had no suspicion, when their son was wearing surgical gloves taking out trash, and cleaning every inch of his car methodically. A car on every news channel for possible involvement in this heinous crime. Of course, this is not unusual.

According to police, Xana Kernodle was awake at approximately 4 a.m. and received a DoorDash order around that time.

Police believe she was awake because her cell phone records show she was using TikTok at approximately 4:12 a.m. Police identified the DoorDash driver who reported this information.

The 20-year-old marketing major’s final meal — likely from Jack in the Box, as The NYPost’s pictures taken inside the house show — was dropped off by a driver at the house on King Road in Moscow at 4 a.m., according to the probable cause affidavit

a kitchen counter with a fast food bag, coffee cup and a plant pot

Photos taken shortly after the murders show a Jack in the Box bag marked with the name “Xana” sitting above the kitchen sink, which is believed to be have been Kernodle’s final meal.

I do not see the questions about the roommate not calling 911 or not trying to call her roommates after she saw the man in the hallway as being insensitive or rushing to judgement. It's human nature to be curious about something like this.

On the one hand people are saying maybe this was a party house with people coming and going all hours of the night so she was not too concerned.

On the other hand she herself said when she saw that man coming towards her she was in a frozen shock phase. She closed and locked her door. This tells me that she was very frightened. She most probably was worried that he was still in the house and was afraid to leave her room. As to why she didn't call someone the only logical thing that I can think of is that she left her phone in another part of the house. She may have been so frightened that even the next day she was afraid to leave her room until the other survivor came to her room later in the morning. Remember the student nurses who were killed by Speck in the 60's? The one survivor who hid under the bed stayed there all night until the next morning when she got up the courage of run out of the apartment screaming for help.

What happened in that house was so horrific that we are all trying to come to terms with how all of this could have happened to these young people. No blame is being cast on this young woman. I hope that she can recover from the trauma of that night and find peace.

@shoesnbags    Yes, I agree with you.  The roommate sees this guy, mask and all, heard crying, and just goes back to her room and thats that.  WTF,  sorry but there has to be more to that story.  She doesn't think to call 911, go for help.  How do you just go back to sleep after that.

@BlueFinch   You are confused about who called DoorDash. Is was not the survivor. It was Xana Kernodle one of the victims who called Doordash. The meal was delivered around 4:00 am. It is heartbreaking to see that picture of the bag of food and to know that this young womam died very soon after receiving it.

@mariadomenica @Are you referring to ethanol?

@Mindy D   Since her post follows the post about the roomate, she might be using the slang for "extremely trashed or hammered".  (I had to look it up for another abbreviation because the ethyl alcohol would make no sense.)

Until any additional information comes out, I really do believe that the roommate was terrified and too afraid to do anything.

I also think that Kohberger may have done something like this around his hometown, and I bet law enforcement in Pennsylvania are looking into unsolved crimes, such as stabbing, stalking, who knows what else....

@BlueFinch @She is not the one that called for Door Dash. The one that called did not survive.
