Icy, slushy mess this morning

I would rather have snow than this ice and slush.  So glad I'm retired and don't have to go out in this and deal with the idiots on the road.  Got my running around done yesterday so now I get to stay home and stay safe.

In Chicago, it's frozen - no slush.  Our wind chills are hovering around zero.

It's going to be a long Winter...

@bri20 - we just got a dusting of snow here in So. Ind. when you got your 6 plus inches of snow the other day.  I miss the last couple of Decembers when I could still get the dogs out for a walk everyday.  Stay safe - the cold air is coming our way tonite.  Will be down to single digits soon here.

Frozen here in Minnesota as well.  Current temp is 7 below with a wind chill of 23 below.

Y'all can have those single digit or negative temps.

Brrr!

What I don't understand is, when it's icy out, why do people still drive fast?

because they ARE idiots. They think a 4 wheel drive will go on ice. It may go... but it's harder and heavier to stop.

@Plaid Pants2 - They just showed a map of where accidents are on roads up in Indianapolis - I counted over 35 and there were more - people forget how to drive when it snows.
