I do not like the term stupid fireman.
They should have known better.
ITA.

I agree. One of the men is in critical condition. The others still hospitalized. Just give a donation and stop all the silliness.

That didn't look very safe. I'm surprised they didn't know better.

The firemen put their own spin on the ice bucket challenge. One that had nothing to do with what everyone else has been doing.
It was their mistake and not in any way the fault of what the poster deems silliness.
That said, I hope both have a full recovery.

ITA, give a donation, and forget the silliness. It's great of the stars, but it does give them publicity, where just writing a check, no one would know.

Why are some people against "silliness," which actually translates to people having fun?

With this ice bucket challenge, it seems like some put the videos out there just to be watched.
Just silently give the donation without all the fanfare.

Why?
People are having a lot of fun, it's brought joy to them and most of those watching. It's provided a lot of laughter.
I don't understand why some of you are bothered by that.

That was really a terrible accident to have happened. Also the fact that the young man (only 20 something) who was involved in the very start up of this challange died in a diving accident earlier this week or last. That really got me down too.
There is so much money earned now for ALS, I'm hoping some of it might spill over to other neurological diseases like MS and Parkinson's Disease. It seems like maybe it would especially in light of Robin William's death.

One would think that firefighters would have known better than to pull such a dangerous and, yes, stupid stunt. I wonder if they were real firefighters or volunteer firefighters. Whatever. Their poor judgement takes nothing away from such a brilliant and fun way to raise funds for such worthy cause.
