Acts of terrorism against anyone hurt my soul. When I read or hear about these brutal, senseless acts they haunt me for a long, long time. Sometimes forever.

Terrorism of any sort is unbelievably awful. Growing up in WWII to me was easier than living thro IRA bombings. As I mentioned before, I, and others, were blown up by one of the IRA bombs while shopping in Harrods - still have the scars - but the effect mentally, the fear afterwards Is horrendous. German bombs didn't do it but IRA terrorism and never knowing where and when it would come was fearful.
Unfortunately, our world is changing and I think in any city one needs to be aware - sad but true. As for threatening children is beyond belief.

ISIS has been abusing and threatening children for quite some time, not sure why this a 'story' now.

I find this a bit surprising, although I don't dispute the report ....... why wouold Isis even care about any of the royals?
Anyone?
@Tinkrbl44 Worldwide publicity and the ensuing recruitment power it would probably engender since they are a shadow of their former self according to the experts.
There is a large Muslim population in England, and there have been radical clerics there who have advocated violence. Not really surprising since ISIS has struck London in the recent past. It makes it difficult for all concerned, includiong peaceful, law abiding Muslim British citizens who are stereotyped in with the terrorists.
@RainCityWoman the same thing happened with Irish terrorists. In 1979 IRA terrorists blew up Louis Mountbatten, First Earl of Burma, who was the Queen's second cousin, and very close to the Queen's husband and a mentor to the Prince of Wales, and a war hero (hence his title). They also blew up his 14 year old grandson. They also tried to kidnap the Princess Royal (first born daughter of the monarch) but Anne was secure in her car and full of composure. And so many other bombings and deaths over the years.
A lot of British people feel the IRA terrorism was a lot worse than anything that's going on today, and say so.
Yes, I mentioned the IRA earlier in this thread. I was in Ireland during the Bobby SAnds hunger strike and witnessed a fire bombing of an establishment in Limerick which is not even IN Northern UK Ireland. There were all kinds of warnings about packages left on the Tube unattended. The last time I was in London there were incidents and threats but at this time it was the radical Muslims reacting to Salman Rushdie's Satanic Verses book. That time I was at Heathrow, and suddenly a SWAT team came rushing in to the check in area and evacuated us to another area of the airport. There was an unattended piece of luggage left in the middle of the area. The UK is used to dealing with this kind of thing, probably better than the U.S., and yet still they are shaken when they realize they can't be everywhere.

Of course, the U.S. had Timothy McVeigh who blew up a government building which had a day care center in it. This guy was home grown, army vet, Christian raised, white guy. One has to wonder if at any given time we are ever safe from some random lunatic.

British ISIS supporter, who called for jihadis to attack 4
year-old Prince George, pleaded guilty to terrorism
offenses at a court in London recently.
32-year-old Husnain Rashid Admitted he had carried out a
string of terror offenses, including engaging in conduct in
preparation for terrorist acts and encouraging terrorism.
Husnain Rashid was employed as a teacher at the
Muhammadi mosque, posted a photograph of the prince,
along with the address of the four-year-old's school, a
silhouette of a jihadi fighter and the message: "Even the
royal family will not be left alone."
Rashid specialized in supporting lone attackers providing
assistance with "every conceivable type of attack"
including the use of bombs, chemicals and knives,
prosecutors said.
Prosecutors said: " Rashids proposals were
indiscriminate and made no distinction between adult
and child, between members of fighting forces and
civilians.

My church just gave a world-record monetary settlement to survivors of childhood abuse.
The abuse was carried out by consecrated (in a religioius ceremony) members of my faith.
There is NO WAY I'm going to get hot and bothered by these sad people.

I'm aware of all of this, it's still not a novel concept for this terror group.
