IPad and IPad Apps Help

My husband just got me one for Mother's Day so I'm a newbie. Please give me some recommendations for uses and apps that you would recommend. So far, I'm having great fun with it but I need advice from those of you that have had one and have been using it to it's fullest. I love to read, cook, organize, decorate and travel. I also am enjoying some of the music apps.
