Lynsi Snyder, President of California's In-N-Out Burger, is personally relocating herself and family to Tennessee, and there are plans to open multiple stores there.
Now it won't just be California and select Western states that have the yummy burger empire to themselves.
Snyder has resisted expanding to Eastern states, wanting to keep the personal touch for which they are famous, but I wonder if the move to Tennessee will be just the beginning of a more wide-ranging expansion.
Anyway, lucky Tennessee!

We've had those burgers and were not impressed.

I was disappointed, too, and tried it two or three times just to be sure.

I had read this @Oznell , being from California it was interesting and oh so common.
I agree with @kaydee50 . I've eaten at In-n-Out a couple times. I didn't find them all that great, just okay. They are a step above other fast food burgers but I don't get the long lines. We have a Chick Filet (not sure of the spelling) and an In-n-Out pretty close together. They actually have to hire traffic control staff to monitor the parking lots and ordering because the lines are so long they begin to intertwine and you can't even drive through. I always avoid that area.
I do need to point out their fries are pretty tasty, they are actually fresh cut and fried using real potatoes.

She says she's moving out of California because it's "too hard to do business in".
And yet, that's where In-N-Out Burger started and became successful. So, if it's "too hard", I wonder if she'll shut down all the In-N-Out Burger joints there? Hmm, probably not, since they're the source of so much of her wealth. Just sayin'.

ETA: How nice to be the only grandchild of successful grandparents. Inherited wealth.

I figured something like that was behind this. 😏

Hoping they will open one in NYC soon!
I'm eager to try it: I love ShakeShack, Smash Burger and many others, so I'll always give the new burger in town a try!

Having lived on the West coast and now on the East, I miss In N Out Burger : (
Great tasting foods that remind me of the vintage drive-in foods.
It was very popular with adults & school kids where I lived.
I liked everything I ordered there.
I also lived in the upper Midwest decades ago, and we had Chick Fil A then. I liked their waffle fries - they're so good. But when Chick Fil A opened in the West, I couldn't figure out what the big fuss was all about.

I also love Jollibee (anyone know this one?), for chicken Popeyes and Chick-fil-A!

@Venezia We own a business in California. Let's just say, every year there are more and more regulations that become almost unsustainable for many businesses.
I read the article and she said it was also difficult raising a family. Everything is so much more costly so I get it.
