IN HONOR OF VALENTINE'S DAY...

[ Edited ]

...Found a few pictures of famous bridal couples.   Warning: the accompanying music is not good, I muted it.  Toward the end especially, the couples skew very British and hippie-esque, so I wasn't recognizing some of them-- who is "Firefly Taylor"?

Fun to see Brigitte Bardot marrying Roger Vadim-- she looks so demure and almost nun-like!   Of course, 'la Liz' appears marrying various husbands...   Some of the photos are very rarely seen-- there's a lovely one of Nat King Cole kissing his beautiful bride Maria.  Interestingly, the one of Faye Dunaway is the most natural and happily glowing I've ever seen of this very circumscribed actress.

My favorite might be the 1920 one of beautiful bride Mary Pickford, on the brink of throwing her bouquet...

Edited to correct spelling of "Brigitte"!

@Oznell  Thanks - that was fun (and I remember so many of those weddings).  I must say that looked like Roger Vadim with Jane Fonda, but not at all like him with Bardot!  What's up with that?

Enjoyable trip down memory lane.

Oh, @Pearlee, that confused me too-- that definitely isn't "Rakish Roger" Vadim in the first Bardot photo--  I'm going to guess it's her Dad, maybe, walking her down the aisle to meet Roger?

@Oznell Oh, her dad makes sense.   The caption said Roger Vadim and Bridget Bardot.

(whoever it was reminded me of Arthur Miller!  But he was busy with Marilyn Monroe  LOL)

I still am trying to watch the silent movie with Harold Lloyd and look at wedding pics. I’ll go back again when this is over. @Oznell

@Oznell I listened to the music and it was instrumental all the way through so it’s ok.

Fascinating to see all those couples over the years as they married!  It was a fun video and easy to enjoy!
