It makes me sad that John was robbed of so much of his life by a vile nutcase who still lives.

Happy 80th birthday John Lennon and thanks for the great music, esp as half of the Lennon- McCartney genius songwriting team.

I miss him. His death was so tragic. I also feel old hearing that he'd be 80 today.

@Pearlee  Actually it would be 2 of the fresh faced lads....Ringo turned 80 this past July. When I think of how fresh faced I was when introduced to this indescribably fantastic foursome I really feel old.

NYC lit up the Empire State Blg blue with a white peace symbol in honor of Lennon's birthday. Nice tribute but it would be nicer of Lennon hadn't been shot to death in NYC.

I learned to love them as a teen in the 70s and followed their solo careers
