Re: I would be embarrassed if fellow drivers knew...

I sing along to these songs, among others:

Boogie, Oogie, Oogie - A Taste of Honey

Get Down Tonight - K.C. & the Sunshine Band

The Power of Love - Huey Lewis

Come On Eileen - Dexy's Midnight Runners

Don't Go Breakin' My Heart - Elton John & Kiki Dee (I sing both the male and female vocals.)

I Heard It Through the Grapevine - Gladys Knight & the Pips (I love singing

along with the Pips. I must make a complete fool of myself, lol.)

All the songs I sing are part of the fabric of my life. How I sound now thanks to my thyroid are the embarrassing part. Although...... How can we be lovers by Michael Bolton is a little cheesy.
There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise

Doesn't everyone sing when they're happy?

I like to harmonize.  A favorite is JT and Carly Simon doing Mockingbird.  I try both his and her parts.

And you girls singing Nessun Dorma??  I HEARD you!  ...wondered what that was...Woman Wink

Re: I would be embarrassed if fellow drivers knew...

Come dusk on certain days, as the sun begins to set in the west here in Santa Fe and the air is mild and the scent of pinon is in the trees, if I have a long drive home, I must sing "The Summer Knows", the theme from the movie "The Summer of '42".

After peak times, the roads here are quieter and even the interstate can be actually sane. lol

I drive a convertible and at just the right time, the mountains turn shades of deep blue. And as they sprawl out before me, its like the sea...and well, it is then that I must begin my performance.

I sing it very dramatically (of course), with great feeling and a certainty that a motion picture camera is attached to some helicopter (maybe a drone) somewhere capturing each facial nuance and emotional note.
