I won a free dinner. A friend that calls us movie critics said we are so good at movies (because we go to a lot of movies -for instance we saw 33 movies from Jan 2016 to Jan 2017 in the theatre...and more since).

So she said DH and I should pick the Oscar winners and she will buy whoever wins dinner. I got 16 right and DH got 15 right. (We tried to say no no thats ok, so I will no doubt feel bad, and order the least expensive meal.).

Whats funny is, we didnt look at each others ballots till we were all finished, yet DH and I picked all the same winners in the major categories. lol. The only ones that some were different picks were in the minor categories. So of course we tied in the major categories and both had those all correct (except for the best film, thanks to the dumb mistake lol), but we didnt get as many right in the minor categories.

So I got 16 he got 15. I won by one minor category another words (The only one that I was mad I didnt get was Suicide Squad for make up. Duh I should have had that right also, but DH has that one wrong too).

PS) Our friend keeps telling us to be movie critics and make a website. Now Im thinking maybe we should. lol.

Then I for one, will be watching what you have to say on here about movies. I love to watch movies, so I take all the recommendations I can get. Just don't give the story away.

At 61 years old, I'm not sure I've watched 33 movies thus far in my life, period!   I absolutely have not been to a movie theater that many times, but I also don't watch movies on TV in the comfort of my home---mainly due to my short attention span.

@RedTop Last movie I saw was titanic so we have a lot in common.I don't enjoy movies and only watch occasionally when visiting with my son.I would not recognize a star if we came face to face anywhere.
