For the past few months I've been using the Melitta JavaJig. The JavaJig uses properly sized regular coffee filters and I fill them with my current coffee of choice. The flavor of the coffee is much better than any K-cup substitute I've found.
When I first started using them I had trouble with the little prongs that hold the filter in place breaking but have now learned that if I use the bottom of one Jig to push the filter into the bottom of the other Jig to help form it before placing it over the prong part there is less strain on the prongs and they no longer break.

Meant to piggyback on Trader Joe's being recyclable and good coffee, too!

I am not a perfect person.
I use my keurig.
For my house, it saves us from waste of coffee and water.
You don't have to agree.

Better to save/conserve in SOME areas than none! You shouldn't be dogged for that.
I try as hard as the next person to not be wasteful, conserve, etc, but I think the vast majority of us probably have at least one area where we aren't the absolute model of perfection. I'm as imperfect as anybody and will freely admit that.

thanks, CB. I agree that we all have areas that we could do better, no doubt.

Nobody is being dogged. The issue is K-cups, not who conserves the most or how. Or who is perfect. Nobody said anything about that, either.
60 billion and counting. You don't have to use K-cups to conserve water and coffee.
Enjoy.
