When my second daughter was married, her husband would drive only Jaguars and MB's. He had more problems/repairs on those cars than I had on my (then) five-year-old Saturn and my daughter had on her Ford SUV.
I think he has downgraded to a BMW, while my daughter cannot afford a car. She drives my Kia, since I don't drive anymore. No problems with the Kia, and it's almost three years old now.

More for me then!
Indeed. Right now, I'm driving a Hyundai Tucson Limited. It's a great car. Handles beautifully in the snow and ice. Love the panoramic view and the nav system. I see nothing wrong with a Hyundai.
I might go with what you are driving. I like my Santa Fe, but it's a little too big for just city driving.
I do like AWD, so the Kia Soul is probably out!

IN TWO YEARS?!
I have a car that's over 15 years old, and it still has less than 135,000 miles. What the heck are you doing? Running drugs?
my car is 8 years old and it doesn't have 80,000 miles on it yet. one year when i took it into the dealership for it's oil change they teased me so much about this! i can't remember the exact number but the miles were even lower and they could not believe it because they remembered when my DH bought it for me brand new. my baby boy will be driving soon and we are giving it to him when my DH buys me the infiniti that i want.
LOL, I have a Chevy that I bought new in Nov 2001. It has 51,000 miles on it. Like you, I get comments when I take it for oil changes, because it's in such good shape.

Ask enough people and you'll get enough different answers to drive you crazy. My niece has been driving the same Kia for ten years without a hiccup. My two nephews who bought Kias both experienced transmission failures before 40,000 miles.
I will say this, however. It is a "joke" in the auto sales industry that you don't so much buy a Kia as marry one, because their resale value deteriorates so quickly that you might as well keep it for life.
