I've owned every car I ever wanted except a Mini Cooper.

My wife's cousin has a 2013 Kia Soul and it is green. She drives it a lot when they pick up or deliver the Rescued Boxers for their Rescue Organization. Said her cousin loves it and that it gets great mileage on their trips.

I personally am not too fond of any boxy looking so-called SUV's, be they small/medium or large ones.

I've owned 2 mini coopers---in my life of driving, I've only had SUV's or VW bugs or mini's--I just traded in my 2008 mini for a BMW hard top convertible 2door coupe--my 1st "big girl" car---my last mini was a convertible too

I wouldn't purchase an auto just because of the advertisement/commercial. I do my best to purchase a car that is American made too.

That means you would buy a Subaru, Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, VW, BMW - shall I continue? They all have plants in the US and US workers build the cars.

But Schnapsideen, you'd buy a car because it had hamsters in the commercial?

Oh! I get it. Truth in advertising. Hamsters on treadmills power the engine. Got it.

I am on my second Santa Fe. The first one had 135,000 miles in two years.

IN TWO YEARS?!

I have a car that's over 15 years old, and it still has less than 135,000 miles. What the heck are you doing? Running drugs?

Amazingly not everyone is sitting on their A all day long on a a shopping channel BB- some people are actually OUT and doing things-

An believe it or not- MANY people (who don't run drugs for a living), DO use their cars to EARN a living...

I definitely do NOT run drugs I put a lot of miles on my vehicles. I commute a bit less then 100 miles each way to work often and then with a lot of MD appt's for hubby, shopping, vacation, miles add up.

Before buying a car I do a lot of research myself..a great place to look is blogs of people who actually own the type of car you are interested in.

We've had a KIA for 6 years. It's never been in the repair shop except for 1 set of windshield wipers and regular oil changes. All of the buttons on it are decent sized, not tiny like they're for children's hands. We always had American cars before, whatever that term means now. (Not much.) Our car is gorgeous! It's also full of bells and whistles.

it's funny how someone makes such a broad statement about Kia's are so unsafe - based on the experience's of two people!

i know someone with one - she has a one of the SUV's - and she loves it.

any brand can have these problems. the lady across the street bought a brand new $$ model last year and came out to go to work and the car would not crank!!{#emotions_dlg.blink} she had to call the dealership and they had a tow truck to come pick it up!
