I have test drove the Kia Sportage. I have a santa fe and I feel the Kia is not the same quality. I have not had any trouble with my Santa Fe. It is 10 years old. I do not have a garage. The other day a woman asked me how I liked my car and I told her I loved it and it looks great for 10 years old. She said ""I would never have guessed it was 10 years old."" I am hard on cars and my santa fe doesn't have any rips or stains on the upholstery. I have made the decision to buy a new one. I hope the next is as good to me.

I am on my second Santa Fe. The first one had 135,000 miles in two years.

This one is only driven locally. At 60,000 I had the dealer change the oil and the engine blew up! They gave me a new one...it took 5 weeks to get it from the factory - somewhere down south.

We've had a KIA for 6 years. It's never been in the repair shop except for 1 set of windshield wipers and regular oil changes. All of the buttons on it are decent sized, not tiny like they're for children's hands. We always had American cars before, whatever that term means now. (Not much.) Our car is gorgeous! It's also full of bells and whistles.

We traded cars a year ago. I was going to look at the Kia until a friend told me ""don't do it."" He had a Kia (bought new) and said it was in the shop for repairs every three months from day 1. My nephew was looking at them recently and I told him what friend said. He looked but didn't buy one. We didn't even test drive a Kia.

That's what I thought about Hyundais too.

But those 2 S. Korean cars now have very good reliability ratings.

Cute commercial or not get an Outback.lol. We ONLY buy Subarus fully loaded. Good in all the snow we have had in PA and when we trade them they hold their value! Will never drive any other cars again except Subaru!

I test drove one, I didn't like the shimmy and shaking going on and felt very unsafe.

I love the hamsters and thought I wanted a Kia Soul...until I test drove it. I did not like the way it handled nor the way it drove. The rear end on Kia is geared very low. As soon as you take your foot of the gas, the car practically stops, there is no coasting.

They say that is a gas savings, but I think I get just as much saving by coasting when I can.

I bought a SX4 Sportback and I love it.
