Re: I’ve seen it ALL today — Amazon returns

Sadly, all stores encounter people like that woman, returning 42 items.

I worked retail for too many years. You would see people come in with big black trashbags filled with items they were returning. It was crazy. Their kids would wear the items through the season. And then when the seasons changed or the kids outgrew the items, they would return them.

And November 1st was just like Christmas. A long line would form before the store opened. It was all the parents returning their kid's Halloween costumes.

@lovescats Wow! You and I sure have a different definition of the word "sigh". I never see it as "whine". Just wow.

@Love my grandkids   I agree with you.  Not to mention not everyone can stand in line for 15 minutes.

*sigh*

@phoenixbrd .. A UPS Store was recently opened in my Town.   We have a Kohl's here too.   But I find it so much faster going to the UPS Store for my returns to Amazon.

I have never returned that many items in one return in my entire life.  OMG!  I bet the cashier was filled with joy.

I  don't know who was doing the many sighs but I assume it was the OP doing it after each return because if it was the clerk the customer should have called the manager. Maybe that was the time to practice small talk. But when I read the post again I don't think the clerk should have asked the OP how much she was returing.

I chose Kohls from the options given where to return.

I had 30% coupon thought I'd "shop" for a few things but store inventory is very low.  I bought niece a couple of outfits for Christmas and my nephew summer clothes. (I like the kids clothes there).

They gave me 25% coupon with my return I gave it to a young kid in line since I had 30%.

@Sage04

I doubt it was bridal because I watched her pull the items from a big white bag (not original shipping bags) most was clothing, makeup and toiletries.  She was doing each item with code --even she was getting confused.

Whatever the reason for returns her business I just was surprised at the # when the clerk asked her (even she was a little flustered bagging things individually).

I sighed after I heard her tell the clerk she had 42 pieces and I was already waiting about 10 minutes...I was calculating how long the wait would be🙄😳🤦‍♀️😉

@Katcat1   .  I don't think I've made that many returns in my entire life.   LOL

Macy's also has a generous return policy of 90 days. Once I was waiting to pick up an online order. The woman in front of me was returning at least 50 items- mostly kids' clothes. Unbelievable.

People like that have a real problem which makes it a problem for the rest of us.
