Re: I’ve seen it ALL today — Amazon returns

I think in all the years I've been ordering from Amazon I have probably returned 3 items.

As for the woman returning 42 items?  She should be stopped from ordering anything in the future.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

If she does that too often, Amazon will ban her from buying just like QVC does. It happened to a former friend of mine.

@homedecor1 I dont envy you waiting behind that woman.  That usually happens in the 15 items or less speed check out.  The one ahead of me has a carriage full and I've got 1.

Question about Amazon's returns at Kohls.  Can anything be returned at Kohls as long as it was shipped from Amazon, not the direct seller?  I read on their web site when you initiate a return, it will tell you it can be returned at Kohls.  I had to return something, didn't see that blurb so I brought it to UPS.  Hope you can answer that for me.

@coffee drinker  for me, it has always been Kohls and I like that because I get a 25% off coupon which I always use.

It usually gives you a choice of where to drop off the return.

Beware.....Amazon has changed their policy on UPS returns. I don't return much so I was surprised when I took an item to my local UPS store and found out I should have printed a return label and put the item into a box (it was a pair of slippers already in the shoe box). I ended up paying about $8 for a ups box and label. This was not explained on Amazon's return web site. If I had known I would have printed the label at home and grabbed a box from my recycling bin!

@Jasmine19  I've heard about this before about returning at UPS. I'm always given a choice and have always chosen Kohls, no wrapping necessary.

That Customer could have had returns from other family members also. They might not have been all her own.

Another example 12 might have been an accessory for a bridal party (wedding cancelled) and so on. We never know.

We all know why prices and Prime membership has increased. It is because Amazon allows customers to return anything.

Yep.

I just got the email regarding the increase from Amazon a few minutes ago.

It had a typo in it--things like that drive me crazy, too.Woman Tongue

@Jasmine19   That may have been your experience but I had no problem a week ago.  The item was in the original package and I did not have to print a label.  All I needed was the QR code on my phone (or you can have one emailed to you).

You have to scroll down on the return page of the particular item to choose your preferred return method; there is where you will find if your item is eligible for free UPS return.

Not all items qualify.  If you do not see UPS Free listed then you will have to pay a fee at UPS.

Once you have your QR, you simply bring the item to UPS, they scan it, and they print the label (you get a receipt) and they do the rest including packing.

It sounds like the UPS Return Option was not available for your item.

You cannot just walk in with the item with no return info for them to scan.

I would have asked if I could go ahead with my one item if her return had not started.

Or ask for a manager to send over an extra clerk.

No Karen remarks, please.

Amazon encourages people to overshop with their "try it before you buy it" option on many clothing items.  Why not order lots of different sizes and colors to try on if you don't have to pay?

@lovescats Wow! You and I sure have a different definition of the word "sigh". I never see it as "whine". Just wow.
