Re: I’ve seen it ALL today — Amazon returns

42 returns??? I can't wrap my head around that. Sounds to me like those compulsive buyers who then regrets their purchases once they see the bill. Unfortunately, it's those kind of people who make it so hard on the rest of us who have a few legit returns way once in a while. I'm afraid stores and online companies will become even more strict with their return policies--all because of a few people with bad habits.

We all know why prices and Prime membership has increased. It is because Amazon allows customers to return anything.

I've seen people, many people, return Amazon items at my local UPS store.  Some have it wrapped in the bag it came in or a box, and some I've seen them just bring the item in (like a set towels) and just hand them over.

@ScrapHappy   UPS will box up the item.  The customer can return anything without the original bag or box.

It's just a courtesy.

I prefer UPS because they are so friendly and helpful.  I have only had to return 3 small items (not all at once) and the first time I brought the bag the clerk said he didn't need it.

They need to see the item being returned so that is why a box or bag all wrapped up will only be opened anyway.

maybe she doesn't live that close to kohl's and wanted to do everything in one trip   she might have bought 200 items that she didn't return

I don't like kohls to begin with

who was doing all the sighing?   I would have walked around the store and looked at stuff

Khol's and Amazon need to put a limit per visit how many you can return period!

You walk around the store and look at stuff and someone else will hop in line with another 42 items.  Because *they can*.

ETA:  Maybe Kohls should have another Amazon return line for fewer items.

And the ones with the huge return orders can stand together and yap amongst themselves.

Re: I’ve seen it ALL today — Amazon returns

Beware.....Amazon has changed their policy on UPS returns. I don't return much so I was surprised when I took an item to my local UPS store and found out I should have printed a return label and put the item into a box (it was a pair of slippers already in the shoe box). I ended up paying about $8 for a ups box and label. This was not explained on Amazon's return web site. If I had known I would have printed the label at home and grabbed a box from my recycling bin!

Wowser! I fell sorry for the employee who had to handle all of that. The other customer should have said "I'll be awhile, why don't you go ahead and i'll wait."

Re: I’ve seen it ALL today — Amazon returns

I don't think putting a limit on the number of returns per visit would work  because what if the person was only one over the limit.

I think the woman could have taken one cart load in and then go in again with the second cart.

when I see the word sigh used on these boards to me it just equals whine.

I ordered a vera bradley item from amazon because it was 50% off and it came with not one but two monograms and the person did a bad job so I can see why if someone got it as a gift they wouldn't want it.   and when I got it also came with a paper noted system down.

Re: I’ve seen it ALL today — Amazon returns

Returning Amazon items to Kohls isn't convenient for me unless it's a bulky item I cannot package myself.  I just returned 2 pillows to Amazon.  One I never took out of the package, the other I had.  There was no way I was getting that pillow back into the package and boxed up.  It was so nice to be able to walk into Kohls and hand the items to the clerk, scan my QR code and walk out.

However, I have a UPS drop box in my parking lot at work.  I much prefer to be able to drop something in that box.

Most of the time when I initiate the Amazon return, the first suggested method is through Kohls.  Many times if I scroll down, there are other free return options.  There was one time where my only return option was Kohls and everything else was going to charge me a fee.
