My " home body" self , enjoys shopping in my Jammie's online far to much to ever go back to mall shopping. If I have to go to a mall for something, I get in and out of there as quickly as I can, dodging the kiosk people. I'm a fast walker (:

I have never enjoyed malls. Maybe because I am not a big shopper. They spread the anchors out so you have to walk by all those little specialty stores and kiosks. I will park by the store I want to go in and that is usually it for me.

I still enjoy malls. It is a great place for me to get some exercise instead of sitting in front of a computer. I like seeing what I am purchasing and I make fewer mistakes on clothing and shoes. A good example would be a top I ordered from QVC that described it as coral rose. It was neon orange on arrival. If I had been in a store, I never would have purchased it...

I still go to the mall occasionally, but not nearly as often as l used to. I find that when l listen to my iPod and have that zoned-out look, nobody bothers me. Lol.

Online shopping is great - except for dealing with the returns. I am really tired of trips to the post office and/or the UPS store. There is something to be said for trying things on in the store and leaving the items there if they don't fit and trying on an alternative same trip.

I sort of lost interest in malls a number of years ago and for a time, went only once or twice a year. Then, for many years, I didn't go at all. I happened to go to our largest regional mall this past spring and was floored with the expansion of the whole 'kiosk' thing and with the hard sell and carnival barker like behavior of many of the vendors. I agree, it diminished the mall experience significantly. I'm pretty good at ignoring them and just keep moving, but shoppers really shouldn't have to endure them. I guess given their tanking status, malls are trying to eek out revenue for every square foot of space, but they might want to consider that the tone created by some of the kiosk vendors isn't serving them well. It makes some folks want to avoid them even more than they might otherwise. For me, malls just became too big. Traipsing back and forth the length of the mall and in and out of all the side corridors while toting packages just isn't my idea of a good time, and then too, at some malls, trying to park conveniently is just a pipe dream. It'll be a while before I go back.

I still like and prefer shopping at the malls. I like to be able to see things in person first and try clothes on. I find I shop less and less with QVC and I'm not much of an online shopper either. Don't want to bother with shipping costs and then the hassle of returning things that were not what they seemed, didn't fit or were defective. I prefer shopping on my own, but sometimes it's nice to go shopping with my mom for a day out and then our favorite place for a meal.

I never really notice the kiosks at the mall.... and I've never had a kiosk person call out to me.
