I hear ya.  I usually go through U-scan and since I know how I am going to pile on the bags, I know how to pack 'em.  The wrinkle comes in when I buy 40 pound bags of bird seed.  I have to bring one in at a time.  Never had the arm strength to pick up one in each hand - never, not even when I was a teenager.

As I kid my sisters called my arms, her feeble fists of fury, rofl.  If I could walk on my hands and use my legs, then that's another story - he he he.

Ahh, yes, the large bags.  I have to deal with that with dog and cat food and litter.  I don't buy any of it from the grocery, so of course they get managed seperately.  With the dog food, I buy the big bags, but I don't carry them into the house.  I have dog food storage containers that have wheels.  I push them up to back of my car, pull the dog food bag to the edge and open it, then drop it down to pour into the container....so easy once I figured it out!

Wow, I look like that too. I have to park outside our yard, open a gate secured with a bungie clip, walk (or stagger) across the yard, go up five steps and open a big wooden door (accompanied by three big dogs who are separated from the small dogs while we are away) and I still try to make one trip. And I get those deep red marks on my hands and arms every time I do it......Go figure. At least no one sees me out in the country!

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.

I want an elevator...one that can go from the basement to the attic, just can't figure where in this small house to place it.  Have to give this some thought.

@Jk9 - One of my dogs is 100 pounds.  I always tease that it's not right that he doesn't at least carry in his own bag of food!

Don't know if you'd want to look into this, but I've started ordering my cat litter on Ebay.  When I need it, I do a search for my brand with Free Shipping, and find several 28 lb bags for about $30.   Not only do I get an exceptional deal, but the UPS guy drops it right at my front door!   Yee-ha!   Woman LOL

So I did some research and found a company that can install home elevators/lifts.  Really cute and not massive, except probably the price.

I told my husband we should think about this (he can barely make it up the stairs due to bad knee).  He asked me if I was from another planet, and asked where I come up with these crazy ideas.  I told him I like to think ahead for 10 years down the road when he probably won't be able to do steps at all.

@Tinkrbl44 - My garage is as close to my litter boxes as my front door so that wouldn't help me out.  Thanks for the info though!  I can still handle the boxes of litter, I just don't drag them in on the days my arthritis is flaring.  If I'm desperate, I got family nearby who are happy to do heavy lifting for me.
