Absolutely 100% on point, LMAO ![]()

Just got home from grocery shopping and that's me! Hate to pack in and unload, but the feeling of a full pantry and frig is priceless (to borrow a phrase). When my kids were little and so was the money, it just gave me a thrill to know I was providing. It has stayed with me always.

This thread is so funny! That is what DH did this morning when he came back from shopping. He looked like a moving blob of plastic packages bouncing it's way up the stairs. (I'm the opposite, I seem to make one trip per package. I think the truth is I like like to move and it's an excuse for me to make an extra trip up and down the stairs.)

Love the graphic, my garage is off the alley, walk to the house, then 4 steps up & into kitchen, so I always try to get as many bags as possible in one trip, then "plop" into the kitchen

When I went back to work after being a SAHM, I gave the cooking and grocery shopping job to my husband. I just retired. Thankfully he hasn't realized he should be handing it back to me....yet......
(keeping my fingers crossed he never does.) ![]()

So true!
But I bring my own bags which have shoulder straps.
A little easier, but add in two 4-gallon refillable water containers
up a flight a stairs & I look like a pack mule.
Grocery Goal = One Trip

now that's really multi-tasking! I remember when we were house shopping, one house had an entrance to it with a million steps to get up to the kitchen. First thought: groceries!! Funny how we do that!

I have a garage, but have 13 steps to walk up from garage to main floor. I try and bring up all I can in one trip.
I've always thought that any home that doesn't have the garage and house level with each other should have one of those old fashioned dumbwaiters ... just because!

@Tinkrbl44 When my Mom remodeled her home 15 years ago, she put in a motorized dumbwaiter! Best thing she ever did! She is 85 now and boy, is she glad she has that thing!

That's me too. I've got it down to a science too in that I have to be able to lift one arm high enough to lower the tailgate and pull down the door handle. I actually chose my door handle over a door knob because I could manage it with my hands full. lol

I hear ya. I usually go through U-scan and since I know how I am going to pile on the bags, I know how to pack 'em. The wrinkle comes in when I buy 40 pound bags of bird seed. I have to bring one in at a time. Never had the arm strength to pick up one in each hand - never, not even when I was a teenager.
As I kid my sisters called my arms, her feeble fists of fury, rofl. If I could walk on my hands and use my legs, then that's another story - he he he.
