You don't know how much I want to get her the Sunbeam heating pad, but we have argued about it so much I'm afraid she'll get mad!!
tell her it is from Santa!Maybe she wants the handbag more because while the heating pad is useful,it isn't as much fun to unwrap.Maybe you can find a similar styled handbag that isn't too expensive.Macys has been having great sales.
That is so cute! I just may do that!!

It was a $250 bag on sale for $57. I'm sure it's a fake.
I agree with what others have said, You may well get a "coach" bag from a counterfeit operation from China. If you expected a knockoff bag (which you should have for $57) and it shows up, there's no fraud. If you really expected a Coach bag for $57 dollars, then you have been a victim of fraud even if you get a bag in the 4-8 weeks it takes to ship from China.
Do you still have the link you used to order the bag? If so, check to see if you can find anything out about where they are located and where the bag ships from. If it's from China, Taiwan, or Korea, you may still get a bag but it can take 8 weeks.
But you really need to remember that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is and needs investigating.

So why did you order it knowing it was a fake?! Then you make a stink about it and now the credit card company is out their time and money and the expense will be passed to everyone else.

I hope you will do your due dilligence in the future when making purchases from unknown sources. A Coach bag for $57 raises all sorts of red flags. Make sure you check out who you are buying from online.
You might want to try a Coach outlet if you are looking for a less expensive bag. Maybe you can find something there that she will like.

lol when I read that OP said "unlike many, my girls actually need things.." I thought she meant true needs, like essentials (linens, warm coats, cooking stuff, etc). You know, needs not wants or nice to haves. I was confused by that statement. Then when she said a Coach handbag I laughed. Perhaps her statement was tongue in cheek (hopefully??).
Anyway, OP, call your CC and cancel payment immediately.
This daughter is far from a spender. The handbag she is carrying now is a hand-me-down from me, and it was almost ten years old when I gave it to her. She is very frugal. She won't even buy a Sunbeam heating pad as I have been nagging her to do. She uses one of those plastic things from the drug store. Ugh!
Yet she asks you to buy her a Coach handbag?

Actually a Coach bag from the Coach outlet for $57.00 isn't out of the question at all, depending on the size, style and material of the bag.
I purchased what I would consider a medium fabric bag from a Coach outlet a few years back and paid around $70.00 for it. At the time, the outlet was offering 50% almost everything in the store plus as you walked in, they were giving out another 30% coupon.
As far as these questionable websites, the one thing that is a dead giveaway is the website itself. If there are typos and grammatical errors all over the website, you can rest assured it's going to be fake merchandise.

I have looked at many items from Asian website from beauty products to bed linens. They all have text on the site stating that they ship from Asia. All of them that I have looked at. And shipping comes through customs and in most cases would be very costly.
I was trying to find an authentic Turkish Towel at one time and found the exaxt peshtamel I wanted, but after the shipping costs were calculated, I removed it from my cart.
Legitimate websites have a HOME button or Contact Us button or some way to navigate the site to see where they are based. If they don't, I would never buy. They could be shipping out of someone's home and funding terrorist activity with our dollars.
I'd be more worried that this "company" had my CC information than being out $57 bucks. Most CC companies will cover you for unauthorized purchases or dispute a transaction, however in this OP's case, I'm not sure that just becauuse she hasn't received the item yet and called her CC company to say she got scammed, they would automatically refund her.
I use Amex for all my online ordering and they are the best at disputing things but they won;'t do it until adequate time has past for the vendor to either send the item or cancel, then they step in to investigate and at that point they will send you a letter stating it takes 30 days to investigate and refund your money. In the meantime you do not have to make any payments on the disputed amount.

You sound like a good mom trying to please her daughter. I think you should try hard to find this bag at a discount, or similar one. It's Christmas afterall, and hopefully your daughter isn't one hung up on wanting things she can't afford. If that's the case, I would make sure she got that bag. If it's the other case, I would get her what I wanted her to have. Heating pad?? There must be a something I missed on that one. LOL Good luck!!

It is easy to find whether or not a site is a verified vendor of authentic merchandise.
COACH will tell you there is only 1 authentic outlet and it is from their own website.

What's with the snippy responses to the OP??? She just asked for help/suggestions and is just trying to be a good Mom.
