I did laugh at the "need" and then Coach Pocketbook...while she may NEED one..a Coach isn't exactly a need lol!

Macy's has Friends and Family sale often where you can take 25% off.....Coach has Outlet online but you need to sign up for the invitations..and while many of them are made for outlet bags - they are still Coach..not $57 though...somebody said you cannot purchase a wallet for that - very true!

It was definitely too good to be true category so it isn't..and I would put the heating pad in the bag!  She will get over it..I cannot imagine anybody getting mad about their mom buying them something they need.

Hi CouponQueen.  When I put it that way, that my girls really "need" stuff,  I meant they don't have a lot, not that a Coach bag is a "need."  A few posters misunderstood that, but then I could have said it better.  My fault.

Thanks for the link Millie.  Unfortunately I don't have enough information to send them, but I am pretty sure the CC company has this information and they are going to do a fraud investigation.  They're entitled to get their money back also!

When dealing with an unfamiliar website, I always contact customer service to see how quickly they respond before ordering.  Generally, I avoid companies that you can only contact by email because it usually indicates delayed responses.

I also look for reviews.

Great ideas!!

Having worked for a CC company for years...I can assure you that they will not be doing a fraud investigation to recoup. It would cost much more then the $57 dollars they are out. They will just write it off. Criminals know this.

Wow, how awful.  I was thinking maybe they do these investigations in bulk against companies who really rip off a lot of their customers.  But perhaps not.  Too bad, not fair.

Get your money back from the cc company first.  Perhaps you can find another bag online (ebay?) similar if not the exact one she wants.  May cost you more.  But most important, get her the Sunbeam heating pad!

You don't know how much I want to get her the Sunbeam heating pad, but we have argued about it so much I'm afraid she'll get mad!!

tell her it is from Santa!Maybe she wants the handbag more because while the heating pad is useful,it isn't as much fun to unwrap.Maybe you can find a similar styled handbag that isn't too expensive.Macys has been having great sales.

I'm looking now in trustworthy sites for something similar.  Trying to find the actual bag, but so far unsuccessful and I probably could not afford the real thing anyway.
