@truffle  I'm my own favorite charity.  I buy things I need for living not ornamental junk.

I think when you can't even remember what is in some of the packages, that might indicate a problem.

But otherwise, as long as you use and enjoy all the things you buy and can afford it, then that shouldn't be a problem.

@HappyDaze

I like your Charlie Brown/Snoopy pic.

I recently purchased a few Peanuts cosmetics bags from Amazon. They're cute...one is a very small bag with a pic of Snoopy sleeping on a big, pink pillow. The other one has a pic of Charlie and Snoopy sitting on a pier looking out at the water and starry night sky.

There's another one of snoopy sleeping on the moon...his dog house below. If the price comes down enough, I'm buying it...I'll probably use it to contain other small items on my dresser.

OP not my place judge. My experience, Isolated ordering from Qvc more and more as months past. Long story short! Relocated Boco Raton FL. Best Decision for me, Healthy in many ways made the decision No longer order impulsively. Not blaming anyone for my shopping habit grateful stopped in time. Since moving meeting new people getting out enjoying GC and Family members. Key for me! Turning off Qvc. Best wishes OP. Truth you are the only one who can determine best action.

@Sweet_Serenity  Wow, that was fast.  Last week you sounded like you were going to move, yesterday or day before you were shopping at Walmart and today you've given up shopping and have initiated a new lifestyle.

I'd relocate to Siberia before I'd move to Florida.  Hate tropical climates, especially those with snakes, lizards bugs and alligators.   I hear Boco Raton has lots of nice boutiques so you'd better not consider yourself cured of shopping yet.

Re: I think I need an intervention....

I can strongly id with you. I do over 95% of shopping online Amazon and QVC mainly.  However, I am not overextended financially, never use easy pay, and I pay off charge bills at the end of each month.

@chrystaltree   If you are in debt.....and owe on credit cards that you are not paying off every month...then you have a serious problem.   If you pay all your bills with plenty to spare and then some $$$$$, then you are fine.

It's no different then going to the mall a few times a month. Or going wherever you get clothes a few times a month. Or going to where you buy your beauty. It's just delivered to your door for convenience. Why is it some people say it is a addiction but going to a mall  a few times a month isn't.

@ccassaday it's the OP who is saying she has an addiction and no it's not the same as shopping at a mall where frequently they don't have your size, color, style etc.

I think it's kinda like drugs or alcohol.  If you think it might be a problem, it probably is

I don't think a shopping addiction isn't one just because you can afford it.  It can still be an addiction.

@chrystaltree

you are not alone! My neighbor was telling me at the pool today when she sees the UPS truck stop in front of our houses - she thinks "geez what did I order now?" She's like me night owl so we shop way into the nite and enjoy those "surprises" when they arrive!

I kinda think you were joking! Enjoy your purchases life is short & I spoil me cuz no one else will (and I'm sure you like me can afford it after all we aren't teenagers!😉)
