It was during another presentation of the TSV sweater today. The caller was saying how she really loved the sweater but had to send it back........get ready.......because it smelled like SHEEP!!!!! I totally cracked up and it seemed Jackie was speechless which doesn't happen very often. The vendor said it was probably because there was more skin oil from the animal in that yarn. It just really struck me funny!

I heard it too! I fell on the floor! Even the hosts were stunned. The call started out so promising, she was raving about the sweaters, and then the sheep comment, they said it might have been a "fluke" and the lady wanted to continue talking about it!

There's always the option of hanging the garment outdoors. Wool comes from sheep, so it's perfectly understandable that the sweater would have an odor. Odors dissipate, though, if you take the time to let them air out. A beautiful windy day would do the trick.
