. . . that the very important and intelligent thread on retirement was hijacked when someone asked me a question about my health and I answered it, and subsequent posts on that topic interfered with the flow of the thread. The next time someone asks me a personal question in the middle of an important and intelligent thread, I will answer it separately in a new OP. It was not the fault of the poster asking me, it was my fault for answering it within that thread. The negative controversy afterwards took away some of the dynamic of the thread's purpose, and I apologize to the OP and all other posters who tried to stick to the topic.
