What happened to the word 'seen' paired with have, as in I have seen. I hear so many people say, "I seen this," or 'I seen her yesterday." Doesn't anyone say 'saw' anymore.
Maybe I'm behind the times, but is the phase, "I seen this on tv earlier" acceptable today? I'm not an English major, but it hurts my ears to hear folks say, "I seen that yesterday on the blank blank show."
My grammer may not be the absolute best, but I think it's sad when I hear the word seen and saw used incorrectly. I heard this today, "you should have saw her at the pool." Oh, my.
I apologize in advance if I have used incorrect punctuation.
