DH went to Walmart Sunday to pick up two prescriptions. He never pays any attention and just pays so when he got home I saw he wasn't charged for his, to the tune of $139.52, so being the sweet, good, honestI person that I am, (said in jest) I called the pharmacist and let him know. So today I'm going in to pay for it. We have gone there for fifteen years, so know most of them quite well
How many of you have had this kind of experience and were you honest about it or not?
mm
I'm glad you shared this with us. I love honest people and mentioning here, is just fine with me. Thank you.

@Daisy Sunflower, I don't think any of us who have found money and turned it in, would have picked up a $10 bill in a parking lot and gone running to CS with it. In small denominations, cash with no identifying clues attached to it found in open spaces is fair game (in my book). No BS meter needed.

My dad used to say the same thing to me growing up and I have never forgot that.

I know. Except for mominohio, of course.
No, my daughter did the same thing a couple of weeks ago at Walgreens. As she was handing it in, a girl who was off to the side sighed and the girl at the counter said she had just asked if anyone turned it in. The girl thanked her profusely, she had dropped it in the store and had been looking on the ground for it. It was $20 but she was thankful my daughter turned it in.

I was at the pharmacy picking up my prescription and standing next to me was a very old man looking through his pockets for the money to pay for his prescription. I then heard him tell the woman clerk that he must have lost his money, he said he had just gotten off the bus. Well the woman told him she can't give him his prescription without the money. He was pleading with her and was upset, telling her that he needed his medication today but she took the prescription bag and put it in the back telling him she couldn't give it to him. He said since he needed it today, he would be willing to take the bus the next day and bring the money and she should know he would because he was going to this pharmacy for an extremely long time and she knew him. I know it didn't matter to her because I've never seen that woman smile or be personable to anyone.
After hearing this, I asked her how much the prescription was and she didn't answer me. I repeated myself and then she told me. I gave her the money and said give him his prescription. She took it, handed me my change and didn't say a word to me. That man was so grateful and couldn't thank me enough. He said he hoped that he would see me again so he could repay me. I told him not to worry about it and I wished him the best of health and told him God Bless you. I walked out and it was one of the best feelings I ever had.
Oh and after seeing how she treated that old man, I changed pharmacies.

My situation is on a smaller scale. I was recently at Home Depot buying some plants, two of those plants were shasta daisies. The woman only rang up one. I kept telling her I have two of them. I had to tell her three times before she finally rang up the second one.

I thought you might @Daisy Sunflower! Apparently "Wayne" does not share our brand of humor though, because he promptly poofed Lucy!!
