I don't post often, but I need help with a problem at work. I have worked at this job for a little over a year-was hired for a specific position in the office. Due to the economy some positions are being cut, and people are being laid off. However none of the office positions are being cut back. My problem is that I have been told my hours are being reduced by half so an employee in another area (outside the office) can have the hours. They have had me training her without knowing why for the past month or so. She does have seniority on me, but has never worked an office position. Am I wrong to feel hurt and used over this? What would you do in this situation?
