I believe I am trying to be contacted by someone to chat while I am on the net BUT have no idea what to do when I hear the sound and get to this. Can anyone help me on this??? Yes I know this is pretty stupid--but hey, it is what it is!

Just in general when you are on the internet or are you on a site that has a chat feature?

it depends what messaging programs you have installed. If you are o AOL they have AIM running. otherwise see what program is open and you can tell if someone is trying to reach you via FaceTime, Skype, yahoo messenger, messages, etc etc.

If you want to chat with them, there should be a box where you type what you want to say and then you hit send, and you start having a conversation.

What program are you using Yahoo Messenger, Facebook?

you need to know what program they are using to contact you which might be Gchat, or any of the others mentioned above or even a video chat.

Once that is established be sure that you have the program correctly installed on your computer. Does that help?
