@Mindy D
Propet Cush n Foot is what I order for my husband from Zappos. My husband has very wide feet and has advanced neuropathy; he loves this shoe because it is lightweight, has a solid, firm sole, and is not tight or binding. He hates fur in his shoes as well, but has been sold on this shoe for 5 years now. It was the only shoe he could wear when his foot was healing from the amputation procedure.
**These slippers can be thrown in the washer and air dried. None have ever come apart, and my husband has never worn a pair out.

@Mindy D. Did you check Zappo's? I did a search for "men's leather slippers" and got quite a few.

@catmama, Land's End has expanded and do have a few of their men's slippers in wide, in fact one is available extra wide.

L.L..Bean is good of course, But for a good economical choice, get Target's moccasin style. They will likely last only 1-2 years, but no one objects to replacing slippers so often when they cost only $20 - $30.

@Mindy D @kate2357 For years I have
been buying the L.L. Bean slippers for my husband . He loves them without any fake fur or plush lining. They last for several years.
I just got him another pair this year. They look like the slipper pictured, but with a thick rubber sole and they can be worn outdoors, in the yard or out to get the mail. They only cost $45.00.
The slippers are not worn out, but he is lazy and doesn't put them all the way on and crushes down the top of the heel.
I asked him if he would like just the slip on style with open back, but he said no. He's 85, so I just get what he wants. He's
a creature of habit.

I see others have beat me to it, definitely LL Bean.

I'm so happy to see this on here. I just brought this up to my husband yesterday. At this age we're likely to visit a hospital and may want/need our own robe and slipper. So today we will look locally for a robe. But he says he has slippers. But now I know what he should check out (according to here) in case he needs to replace what he does have.
